About The Budget Hub CIC

At The Budget Hub CIC, we believe that financial wellbeing is a right, not a privilege. We’re a not-for-profit organisation on a mission to empower individuals and families, especially those facing financial hardship, with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to take control of their money.

Born from lived experience and a passion for helping others, The Budget Hub will offer inclusive, community-based support through practical budgeting advice, friendly financial guidance, workshops, and access to trusted resources. Whether you’re navigating benefits, trying to stretch a tight income, or simply want to feel more confident with your finances, we’re here to walk alongside you, without judgment.

We’re starting in the East of England, running local pop-up clinics and virtual workshops, which will be UK wide, designed to reach people where they are, both geographically and emotionally. From reducing debt and bills to setting savings goals, our work is all about building financial stability for the long term.

Our Mission

At The Budget Hub CIC, our mission is to improve financial wellbeing by delivering inclusive, community based support and education. We empower individuals and families to build confidence, manage money with clarity, and take meaningful steps toward long-term financial stability, without fear or judgment.

The Budget Hub’s purest intention is simple: to be the lighthouse. We are here to shine a light of hope for those who feel lost in financial fear or shame, and to guide them step by step towards stability, confidence, and wellbeing.

Our Values

  • Kindness & authenticity → creating safe, judgement-free spaces.
  • Fairness & accessibility → ensuring support is available for all, regardless of income.
  • Community & service → working together to create ripple effects of financial wellbeing.
  • Gentle guidance → recognising that many of our participants are neurodivergent, disabled, or have lived through financial trauma, so traditional “hardline” money advice doesn’t work for them.

Funding & Sustainability

The Budget Hub is a social enterprise. We balance earned income (through courses, guidebook sales, and services) with external funding and a pay-it-forward model, ensuring accessibility for those on low incomes while sustaining long-term growth.

Our Legacy & Impact

The impact we want to create is both immediate and long-term:

  • Immediate → people feel less afraid of money, more confident, and supported.
  • Ripple effect → families and communities break cycles of financial stress and shame.
  • Legacy → a national, ND-friendly, trauma-aware model of financial wellbeing that shows money can be faced with hope, compassion, and confidence.
